Restored my Life

You and your product have been a life saver. While in Vietnam I got inner ear infections from airborne spores as well as having survived an attack with 122 rockets hitting about 50 feet from me. As a result of all that I have been subjected to I have extreme tinnitus and two audiologists stated that I have the worst case of tinnitus that they have ever seen. Both have been audiologists for more than 12 years.

The ringing in my ears during the day at times is excruciating, particularly when I walk into a quiet environment. The ringing that I experience is a 24/7 high pitched ringing which almost puts one on the verge of suicide.

The ringing in my ears varies. It may be a constant pitch ringing. Or it may be a pulsing type which gets louder and then quieter.

It sounds as though someone is turning the volume control up and down. Or it may be in changing pitch like a sine wave. The worst is when one ear is doing something different than the other.

Going to sleep at night has been very difficult. When I would lie down in bed my body would be filled with so much tension that my head would touch the pillow and my body would be rigid.

When I realized how tense I was, I would consciously try to relax. When I did relax I would feel my head sink into my pillow and my body into the bed. Shortly thereafter I would be rigid again and have to go through the entire process again.

Most of the time I would have to get back up and watch TV or do something that was distracting until my body just gave up. I even had a sound generator which replicated the crashing of waves on a beach, or falling rain. It would work somewhat ok on one side but not the other which created frustration. I also tried wearing ear phones with this device but I could never get comfortable.

Until I received your product, the Sleepsonic pillow, I thought that I would spend the rest of my life in torment and I did not look forward to going to bed.

It had been years since my wife and I had gone to bed together. It was nothing unusual for her to go to bed at 10:00 PM and it be 4:30 AM for me to turn in and quite frequently it was 6:00 AM or 6:30 AM and then I was back up at 8:30 AM. I’m glad I’m retired and no, I didn’t take naps during the day, the ringing was too terrible.

Your product has been a real blessing. I go to bed now and I can relax. Your product was ordered for me by the VA and the product I received was the SS-200EBSoundScience Sleepsonic and Sound Science System.

I deeply appreciate you and the people at the Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, Indiana VA Medical Centers for getting your Sleepsonic Sound Science System to me. I can’t even begin to put a price tag on it.
